FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to methods for fluid removal from pleural cavity, and to a kit for implementing the above method. The method involves using two or more therapies to remove a certain amount of the fluid from the individual's pleural cavity at a rate of less than 600 ml/min; the therapies are applied every 12-72 hours until each of two or more following therapies remove less than 300 ml of the fluid. A kit of medical instruments for implementing the method comprises a device for fluid removal from the individual's pleural cavity and instructions for use; the instructions for use contain the information on using two or more therapies to remove a certain amount of fluid from the individual pleural cavity at a rate of less than 600 ml/min with the therapies applied every 12-72 hours until each of two or more following therapies remove less than 300 ml of the fluid.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables providing the amount and removal rate optimum fluid removal.
