FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method presupposes blood sampling, preparation of the sample for analysis and quantitative determination of nitrosamines in the sample by gas chromatography analysis. Preparation of the sample is performed by adding to it of potassium hydroxide at a ratio of 1 part of sample volume to 1.6 weight parts of potassium hydroxide with further stripping of the distillate with the help of water steam and introduction of potassium hydroxide distillate at a ratio of 1 part of distillate volume to 1.6 weight parts of potassium hydroxide. Then the mixture of distillate and potassium hydroxide is placed in a closed system of dosing unit of equilibrium vapour, where under isothermal conditions there is performed thermostatting, mainly during 20 minutes, for establishing phase equilibrium. Gas phase is collected above the distillate and introduced in a capillary column of a gas chromatograph, then gas-chromatographic separation of N-nitrosodimethylamine and N-nitrosodiethylamine is performed. Amount of every above specified substance is established with the help of a calibration curve.
EFFECT: invention relates to a method for quantitative determination of N-nitrosamines (N-nitrosodimethylamine and N-nitrosodiethylamine) in blood.
