FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food seasonings, more specifically to compositions of salt and use thereof. Salt composition is sodium chloride particles having a bimodal size distribution that is combined with particles of another food salt with a maximum particle size distribution, which is located between peaks of bimodal distribution of sodium chloride particles.
EFFECT: disclosed compositions ensure reduced amount of sodium chloride is added to food product without negatively affecting taste of food product due to perception at beginning and end of salty taste of pure sodium chloride contained in composition, masking any foul tastes other food salt.
