FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering and chemical industry and can be used for cleaning and recovery of metal surfaces of installations intended for separation of uranium isotopes. Method involves successive circulation of gas mixture containing ClF3 and F2 in weight ratio (1.5÷3.5): 1, through deposition of uranium and a layer of sodium fluoride, heated to 190-220 °C.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of fluorination, reduces consumption of ClF3, increases degree of return UF6 in separation stage and reduces period of return UF6 in separation process.
