FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method is intended for producing functional impression in making complete removable laminar dentures in the patients with completely absent dentition. Model is made for baseplate tray according to a preliminary anatomic print. Boundaries are applied on the baseplate tray model. Edge of the baseplate tray is modelled having a certain width: in the front portion with width of 1-2 mm, in lateral 3-3.5 mm. In the oral cavity a fixed and active-movable mucosa is determined to detect neutral zones. Its top and bottom boundaries are marked: on the upper jaw on the vestibular surface and palatine edge; on the lower jaw along vestibular and oral surface. Baseplate tray is introduced into the oral cavity, using the printed borders its edge is shortened according to the neutral zone. In the middle edge of the baseplate tray a furrow is made in the form of an inverted cone having a depth within 2.5-3.5 mm. On the baseplate tray for upper jaw at palatine edge, on inner side at a distance from the edge at 1-1.5 mm a step is created. Then at the edges of the baseplate tray is silicone mass, respectively, their width. Tray is introduced into the oral cavity and with the help of functional samples are edge of tray. After final polymerization the tray is removed from the oral cavity.
EFFECT: method enables to mount the edge of the prosthesis within a neutral zone with a small transition to active moving mucosa, reduces a risk of deformation of impression at the stage of extraction of trays from the oral cavity, its infection, transportation and cast stone models.
