FIELD: military equipment; safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of equipment and crew against bullets, shrapnel and artillery grenades. Protective composite material comprises a sandwich comprising at least three layers bonded together. First and second layers include a sandwich of at least two prepregs and corners of titanium alloy or aluminium alloy. Third layer of protective composite has a honeycomb structure and is made of polyurethane. First and second layers of sandwich include monoliths formed from angular profile. Shelves of angular profile lie at an angle of 45° to plane of working surface of protective composite. Corners of titanium alloy or aluminium alloy are interconnected by at least two prepregs. Fibres of prepreg contain corundum nanotubes on surface of fibre of a polyethylene yarn, or glass fibre, or basalt yarn, or fabric, or bundle or tape.
EFFECT: improved protective properties due to design of armour.
