SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-temperature composite materials used as a component of jet engine, and concerns a ceramic matrix composite material with a barrier for environment coatings and a method of its production. Includes a substrate made from a ceramic matrix composite silicon carbide layer deposited on substrate surface, a layer of silicon, deposited on surface layer of silicon carbide, mixed layer consisting of a mixture of mullite and silicate ytterbium and deposited on surface of silicon layer, and an oxide layer deposited on surface of mixed layer.

EFFECT: invention enables to produce a ceramic matrix composite material, having resistance to oxidation and steam from effect of thermal cycles in high-temperature gas medium containing water vapour.
