FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for drug delivery from a cartridge with a reservoir, which determines a common filled volume, and a plunger, includes pushing a piston by means of a pump unit with a plunger and a plunger pusher drive mechanism for controlled supply of from said reservoir of a drug amount of 0.1% or less of total amount of filled volume of reservoir, in accordance with a given set of parameters of supply for several hours. Time period of 8 hours or less, which is required for feed accuracy to become equal to a predetermined accuracy feed begins when plunger pushing occurs and corresponds to a period of time during which plunger is pushed in accordance with a predetermined set of feed parameters. Disclosed is a method for operation of an infusion pump and a method of setting plunger pusher to zero, designed for use with an infusion pump unit.
EFFECT: inventions are aimed at improvement of infusion pumps and increase accuracy of drug administration.
