SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment. In a metering mechanism, a piston has a piston head and piston rod having a segment provided with labels in the form of a number of optically detectable strips on the segment. The metering mechanism comprises a valve configured in two working positions, and a window on the cylinder to ensure an optical access to the optically detectable strips. The optical access window is configured so that it ensures the optical access to the optically detectable strips when the valve is found in one of its working positions, and does not ensure the optical access to the optically detectable strips when the valve is found between the two working positions. Disclosed is an infusion pump with this metering mechanism.
EFFECT: group of inventions solves a problem of providing higher metering accuracy.
