FIELD: recovery operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire extinguishing of oil and oil products in tanks and can be used to prevent formation of oil layer homoiothermic during prolonged fire, which leads to release of oil from reservoir. Pontoon or floating cover have through openings, through which, in partial or complete flooding of pontoon, foam is supplied from the foam nozzle located in the centre of the base of the reservoir flows on second half of closed from below the burning surface oil product. Invention allows stewing reservoirs with pontoon and floating roof foam under layer of fuel from foam nozzle located in the centre of the base of the reservoir.
EFFECT: efficiency of the proposed method is more than two times higher than the existing method of fire extinguishing system of the subsurface fire extinguishing in the tank with pontoon.
