FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. At production of the steel strip (1) by endless rolling or semi-endless rolling, first, slab (3) is cast at casting machine (2). Said slab (3) is rolled at roughing set (4) of rolling stands to get the semi-finished rolled stock (3′). The latter is, then, heated in the furnace (7) and rolled at finishing set (5) of rolling stands to preset final depth and preset final temperature of said stands. For this, at variation of temperature (T2) at the inlet and/or mass flow of said stock (3′) at the inlet a new program of passes is selected to get the desirable final depth and desirable final rolling temperature. Note here that the last finishing stand of said set (5) is brought out of contact with the rolled stock or brought in contact with rolled stock to be arranged after the last stand that stay in contact.
EFFECT: higher quality of strip.
