FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises the steps that follow. First, the first range of perceived depth for component of the depth first type corresponding to the reference type component is defined for reference type. Then, second range of perceived depth for component of the depth second type corresponding to the current type component is defined for current type. Note here that said current type differs from reference type. Note here that the current type component is predicted relative to reference type component. Prediction block magnitude is adjusted proceeding from the difference between the perceived depth first and second ranges. Note also that the adjustment of said magnitudes includes the step whereat prediction block depth magnitudes are scaled.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction of current type component owing to adjustment performed on the basis of scaled magnitude of prediction block scaled magnitude.
