SUBSTANCE: motion vector predictive coding method comprises: a step of determining the motion vector of the target fragment of a video sequence; a step of determining the first version of the motion vector predictor, which is determined from the motion vector or motion vectors of one or more fragments belonging to the left-side adjacent region; a step of determining the second version of the motion vector predictor which is determined from the motion vector or motion vectors of one or more fragments belonging to the top adjacent region; a step of selecting an optimum motion vector predictor and outputting indicator information of a motion vector predictor; a step of encoding the indicator information of a motion vector predictor.
EFFECT: high coding efficiency and low computational complexity needed to determine a motion vector predictor.
