ASYMMETRIC CONFIGURATION OF LENS AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING OR DELAYING PROGRESSION OF MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61F9/00 A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2594245 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. Ophthalmological contact lens for either deceleration, or restraint, or prevention of myopia progression, containing: an optical zone with a possibility of positive asymmetric aberration for creation of a physiological effect on the eye, wherein the positive asymmetrical aberration includes asymmetric radial profiles of optical force with an increase in optical force from the centre to the edge of the optical zone, while asymmetric radial profiles of the optical force may vary along different radial meridians; besides, the differential of optical force between the centre and the edge of the optical zone ranges from 0.5 dioptres to 25 dioptres, and a peripheral zone surrounding the optical zone. Method consists in ensuring either deceleration, or restraint, or prevention of myopia progression with the help of the device described above.

EFFECT: use of the given group of inventions allows to improve the correction of the far vision.
