FIELD: textile and paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry and concerns a method of determining anisotropy of fabric properties. Proposed method consists in the fact that on a specimen of tested material having a form of a circle with a radius of 100±1 mm one marks lines in different directions, for example at angles of 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°…345° to the longitudinal direction. Specimen is subjected to operational effects (wet treatment or chemical cleaning), placed on a horizontal surface, stretched, dried at room temperature, subjected to wet-heat treatment, then, in marked directions, one measures of linear dimensions of the specimen and the length of the fringe formed at the edges of the cut.
EFFECT: use of the method allows to determine characteristics of two properties of the fabric simultaneously.
