FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for positron emission tomography (PET), in particular using calibration of PET scanner. During calibration of positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, a radioactive calibration phantom is scanned several times during a period of multiple half-lives in order to obtain a plurality of scanning data frames. Alternating intervals are used to facilitate acquisition of data matches for multiple timing intervals of matches and power intervals per one action of calibration scanning. Matching events are loaded into a storage in accordance with each of multiple selected intervals of matches and calibrated PET scanner for each of multiple match timing intervals using data received from one calibration scanning.
EFFECT: technical result is faster calibration of scanner.
