FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to autostereoscopic devices. Display unit comprises an image formation means electrically switchable between 2D-mode and 3D-mode, which includes switching electrodes in a plane containing coplanar parallel electrode lines. Electrode lines are arranged as a plurality of sets of parallel lines, where each set defines a region of lenticular lens. Each set comprises the first electrode lines on the opposite edges between a lens region and neighboring lens regions, and at least the first pair of the electrode lines arranged between the opposite edges and symmetric about the lens region center. Each set comprises at the very most six electrode lines between opposite edges. First electrode lines are wider than the electrode lines of the first pair of electrode lines, where in a 2D-mode liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer are oriented perpendicular to the electrode lines, and where the electrode lines narrow from the edge of the lenticular lens region to the center of the lenticular lens region.

EFFECT: simplified manufacturing, improved lens optical characteristics.
