FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: device is designed to switch between the 2D and 3D modes, it contains the graphic panel (3) and the lenticular installment (9); the lenticular installation comprises the matrix of the lenticular elements (11) containing the birefringent electro-optic material (23); the material (23) adjoins the optical transparent layer (21), at that the refraction index of the birefringent electro-optic material (23) enables switching of the electric field to the 2D and 3D modes operation by means of the selective method; the optically transparent layer (21) has the inverse lenticular structure and contains birefringent material; in the 2D mode the optically transparent layer (21) essentially has the same refraction index of an ordinary wave and an extraordinary wave as the birefringent electro-optic material (23); in the 3D mode the refraction index variance is set on the lenticular border between the birefringent electro-optic material (23) of the matrix of the lenticular elements (11) and the optically transparent layer (21).
EFFECT: enhancement of the efficiency of operation of optical devices in 2D and 3D modes.
