FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multi-view imaging device. Multi-view display can be switched between a single-view and a multi-view modes. Above the display panel there is a lenticular lens facility, which contains a birefringent electrooptical material adjoining a non-switched optically transparent layer. Non-switched layer has a refraction index almost equal to the refraction index of the birefringent electrooptical material extraordinary wave. Optical axis of the birefringent electrooptical material on the surface, on which output radiation of the display enters the birefringent electrooptical material, in the single-view mode coincides with the direction of polarization of the radiation emitted from the display panel. Optical axis of the birefringent electrooptical material on the surface of the non-switched optically transparent layer coincides with the longitudinal axes of the lenticular lens elements or with the direction of the pixel column.

EFFECT: in the multi-view mode the optical axis of the birefringent electrooptical material is oriented perpendicular to the output surface of the display.
