SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for preliminary treatment and further transportation or plastification of polymers. Device comprises a hopper (1) with a mixing and/or grinding tool (3) that can rotate about a rotational axis (10), wherein an opening (8) is formed in a lateral wall (9) of hopper (1) through which polymer material can be discharged and a conveyor (5) is provided with a screw (6) rotating in a housing (16). Imaginary continuation of longitudinal axis (15) of conveyor (5) runs opposite transport direction (17) of conveyor (5) past axis (10) of rotation. Longitudinal axis (15) on outlet side is offset by distance (18) from parallel longitudinal axis (15) of radial line (11). Active volume (SV) of hopper (1) is in following ratio to loading volume (BV) of hopper or cutting seal (1): V = SV/BV, where 4 ≤ V ≤ 30. Active volume (SV) of hopper is determined by formula (I), where D is inner diameter of hopper (1), wherein loading volume (BV) is determined by formula (II), $$BV=D^2\frac{\pi }{4}H,$$ where H is height of feeding hole (80).

EFFECT: technical result achieved when using device according to invention consists in providing tightening screw of susceptible or strip-like materials for processing or processing with high quality.
