FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire extinguishing powder, which are used for fighting fires of class A, B, C, and E. Problem is solved by that disclosed dry chemical includes following components: ammonium salt - 10-70 %, potassium - 10-50 % derivatives of urea or guanidine - 5-30 %, wherein powder has a gas-generating capacity of at least 200 l/kg when heated to temperatures of 250 °C, and powder particles are coated with a polymeric gas- and watertight membrane. Extinguishing powder may also include an additive catalyst in an amount of 2.3 wt%, which is used as iron compound, copper, nickel, chromium, copper phthalocyanine such as chromium III oxide, iron III oxide, nickel chloride.
EFFECT: technical result achieved when using disclosed composition is to improve fire extinguishing and fire extinguishing powder gas generating capacity, improved performance, as well as reduced likelihood of repeated auto-ignition after using disclosed fire extinguishing powder.
