FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering, particularly, protective panels. Protective panel of aircraft consists of tiles, rigidly fixed on outer surface of aircraft. Each plate has projections formed in centre and recesses at edges. Plates are interconnected to form an overlap equal to relative thermal expansion gaps between edges of plates and walls of mating recesses of adjacent plates. In external surface of aircraft there are holes to accommodate central protrusions of plates. Plates are made from heat-resistant material and form external contour of aircraft.
EFFECT: simplified and higher reliability of protective panel of aircraft.
