FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electrostatic generator of high voltage (HVEG) relates to devices intended for generation of high voltage or high-voltage electric discharges and can be used for generation of high-voltage pulses in internal combustion engine ignition systems. In present invention as HVEG variable capacitor is used (VC), capacity of which depends on distance between VC electrodes, which main difference from analogues is additional use of dielectric material with high electric strength, specially placed in space formed between VC electrodes at increase of distance between them during VC operation. It is necessary to reduce voltage value of electric breakdown between VC electrodes and thus many times increase HVEG working voltage and power.
EFFECT: most promising for that purpose liquid dielectric, which naturally fills all inner space between VC electrodes at displacement of VC electrodes from each other and is displaced from this space at reverse approach of VC electrodes.
