FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and is intended for the transformation of electrical energy into mechanical one and the inverse transformation due to electrostatic forces of the coulombic attraction between charges of opposite signs. Electrodes of the capacitive electrical machine (CEM) are made in the form of tapes, or films, or thin wires that are in a state of permanent tension and fixed in this state in the CEM structure, that allows placing a larger number of interacting plane-parallel electrodes in a limited volume.
EFFECT: higher power.
