SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and can be used in development of high-viscosity oil. Method of operating a pair of wells producing high-viscosity oil involves steam pumping through horizontal injection well, recovery of products through horizontal production well located below and parallel to injection well, and in injection well tubing string is lowered two different-diameter tubes, end of string of larger diameter is placed at beginning of horizontal shaft, end of string of smaller diameter is placed at end of horizontal shaft, in producer there is installed a fibre-optic cable and tubing string with electric centrifugal pump and temperature sensors at inlet of motor electric centrifugal pump and in electric centrifugal pump. Steam is pumped through injection well, then thermo-barometric measurement by means of fibre-optic cable zones of horizontal shaft of production well with highest temperature among detected zones is determined zone to change angle of not more than 2 degrees at 10 m, centrifugal pump is placed in a certain zone, change of steam supply through injection well and periodicity of operation of electric centrifugal pump mode of operation of pair of wells, in which electric centrifugal pump operated in continuous mode at a temperature of pumped product equal to maximum allowable for electric centrifugal pump.

EFFECT: technical result is increase of flow rate of producers without failure of downhole pumping equipment.
