SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electron multiplier (1) for system for detecting electromagnetic radiation or ion flow. Multiplier (1) comprises at least one active structure (2) for receiving a flow of incident electrons and emitting electrons in response to flow of electrons, referred to as secondary. Said active structure (2) comprises substrate (3) on which there is thin nanodiamond layer (4) composed of diamond particles having an average size less than or equal to 100 nm.
