FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building and can be used in belt-drum brakes of drill winches. Cooling system comprises brake pulley, brake belt with friction linings, cooling system made up of heat tube, and drive. Heat pipe is made of upper and lower circular chambers of different volume representing zones of condensation and evaporation. Upper surface of the upper annular chamber of evaporation zone functions as a non-working surface of the pulley rim. Chambers are connected along the perimeter of their contact by inlet and outlet valves, adjusted to various pressure of heat carrier circulating through the pipeline made as a system of tubes of different cross-section. Cooling method of belt-drum brake friction pairs consists in removal of heat generated during braking by heat carrier being under different phase states and circulating under pressure gradients.
EFFECT: increased service life of friction pairs of brake.
