FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to functional diagnostics. Blood flow velocity is measured by Doppler sonography. Measurement is carried out on two depths from one point on straight section of vessel length not less than 1.5 cm, difference in depth measurement is not less than 10 mm. Control volume location is 50 % of difference of depths location, but not more than 10 mm, obtained blood velocity (cm/s) and depth of location (cm) are substituted in formula, through which true blood velocity is calculated.
EFFECT: method enables high-accuracy measurement of flow in vessel taking into account angle of its location.
