FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making products like reinforcement ribs of various profile shape, large-size structural articles in form of rotation solid bodies of laminated polymer composite materials made by layer-wise laying-out with subsequent vacuum or pressure moulding. From a web of calendered rubber there is cut out a calculated amount of blanks of a preset standard size, the number of which is calculated based on the initial material thickness and height of the forming element, while a standard size is determined by an initial shape of the forming element. Into a forming cavity formed on mandrel surface for placing an article of polymer composite material there are put on each other, by method of laying out or spinning, preliminarily degreased rubber blanks in a certain sequence. There is formed a packet of required shape defined by the shape of the forming element, fastening them in the course of laying through nefras. After that, there is created a closed volume of the shaping mandrel cavity by installing on the formed packet of limiting element blanks. Limiting element performs subsequent fixation by spinning of composite material with a tension force sufficient to form a volume corresponding to the volume of the forming element. To avoid formation of a process seam, the height and width of the limiting elements are selected taking into account the size of the forming element. During production of a forming element for shaping of thick-wall articles or thick-wall fragments of the articles, on the surface of the mandrel for laying of an article of polymer composite material there is installed a transition element with the height corresponding to the thickness of the shaped article or fragment of the article.

EFFECT: shorter production process cycle, expansion of technological possibilities, higher quality of shaped elastic elements due to exclusion of additional machining operations.
