FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication network and is intended to bind resource elements of enhanced physical downlink control channel (ePDCCH) for corresponding user devices served by a base station. Base station first determines resource element binding patterns for corresponding user devices and binds resource elements based on said determined resource elements binding patterns, wherein binding patterns of resource elements comprise binding resource elements for ePDCCH by ignoring resource elements corresponding to previous signal, or to binding resource elements for ePDCCH by removal of resource elements corresponding to previous signal; and then base station transmits to respective user devices binding templates information resource elements, specific for corresponding user devices, and control signals of downlink.

EFFECT: invention also provides method and apparatus for performing ePDCCH decoding in communication network user device; method implemented in a base station of communication network and intended to notify user device on size of an improved group of resource elements; and method implemented in a base station communication network and intended to notify user device on binding.
