FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, neurology, psychophysiology, addictology and ophthalmology for investigation of vegetative responsiveness. Eye pupil reflex is determined by pressing on side surface of eyeball with fixation of reaction of change of pupil. Test subject in sitting position closes one eye, diameter of pupil of open eye is determined, followed by pressing side surface of eyeball of closed eye and 10 s after beginning of pressure, without interruption of pressure, diameter of pupil of open eye is measured again. When pupil contracts by 1 mm, vegetative responsiveness is defined as normal. When pupil contracts by more than 2 mm, vegetative responsiveness is considered high-parasympathetic reaction. Pupil expansion shows perverted vegetative responsiveness-sympathetic reaction. In absence of pupil reaction, vegetative responsiveness low is considered low.
EFFECT: method provides visual inspection of vegetative responsiveness, higher precision and auxiliary examination.
