FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical-thermal treatment products from metals and their alloys, mainly steel, and can be used for reinforcement and increasing their reliability. Method involves nitriding articles in gas atmosphere containing nitrogen and/or its compounds in presence of a catalyst. Product and catalyst are subjected to hot isostatic pressing with observation of conditions of barometric impact of 100-300 MPa and temperature impact of 1,500-2,500 °C that provides achievement of dislocations density in product's volume that satisfies conditions of transition of a part of product substance into positron state of Dirac matter.
EFFECT: higher hardness and impact strength of articles.
