FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for damping noise from internal combustion engine. Noise suppressor contains round feed branch pipe (1), input expanding branch pipe (2) with diverging perforated plates (3), and output converging branch pipe (4) with converging downstream perforated plates (5). Between the input (2) and output (4) branch pipes there is straight medium section (6) with located in rows, mutually diverging, and converging downstream perforated plates (7), and perpendicular to them there are perforated guide plates (8), widening to middle of medium section and converging to end of medium section in direction of flow. Output branch pipe (4) along its inner walls is furnished with pockets (9) which are formed by solid plates (10), installed along flow, and external walls of the branch pipe (4). Inside input branch pipe (1) there are two mutually perpendicular perforated plates (11). At output of silencer expanding branch pipe (12) is installed.
EFFECT: technical result is increased efficiency of noise reduction in exhaust gas jet from engine, and improved technical characteristics of engine during operation.
