FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: suppressor comprises an inlet expanding branch pipe(1) and a tapered outlet branch pipe (2) inside which perforated plates (3) and (4) are installed respectively, in the inlet branch pipe (1) diverging in the direction of flow, and in the outlet branch pipe (2) converging on along the flow course. Between the inlet (1) and the outlet (2) branch pipes there is a straight middle section (5) provided with perforated plates (6) arranged in rows in the direction of the flow. The suppressor is located in a jacket (7) with formation of a closed cavity (8) along the entire outer surface of the suppressor and fixed by perforated plates (9) to the side walls of the suppressor. The cavity (8) between the suppressor and the jacket (7) communicates with system for feeding liquid in its upper part and discharging it from the lower part to adjust pressure in the cavity. The system is associated with air damper control of the engine depending on the engine rpm by means of a control unit (19) and air damper control system (20).
EFFECT: allows to reduce noise of the exhaust gas stream, improve technical characteristics of the engine during operation.
