FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for diagnosing squamous cell lung cancer (PKRL). Method includes obtaining an initial pair of tissue samples from a patient, where one of samples is obtained from potentially cancer affected tissue, and second - from adjoining histologically normal tissue, extraction and purification of preparations of RNA, cDNA synthesis on RNA matrix, amplification of CALL gene fragment and comparing amount of amplified CALL DNA fragment for sample obtained from potentially cancer affected tissue, with amount of amplified DNA fragment for sample obtained from normal tissue. Reduced content of mRNA of CALL gene from 3 to 44 times is a diagnostic feature of PKRL.
EFFECT: invention provides early diagnosis of PKRL.
