FIELD: computing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computing technology. Apparatus for performing inter-layer prediction between layers with different dynamic range sample values comprises global predictor that displays function of global tone mapping based on statistical analysis of pairs of values of combined samples in first tone mapping version and second version of image and applies global tone mapping to first tone mapping version of image; and local predictor, which locally receives locally varying function tone mapping based on statistical analysis of values of combined samples in second version of image and globally predicted reference image in units of sub-parts, which are broken globally predicted reference image and second version of image, and apply locally varying tone mapping function to globally predicted reference image.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve ratio of quality/speed coding by providing combined use of global and local forecasters.
