FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a ferrocene-based fire extinguishing composition. Ferrocene-based fire extinguishing composition comprises ferrocene, a ferrocene derivative, or a combination thereof in amount of 25 wt%. To use composition, a pyrotechnic aerosol agent is used as a heat source and a power source. At ignition of pyrotechnic agent generating high temperature is used for producing fire-extinguishing composition of fire-extinguishing substance, which is sprayed together with pyrotechnic agent aerosol for fire extinguishing.

EFFECT: compared with a conventional fire extinguishing composition, present composition does not require storage under pressure, is more effective and safe.
