SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a flame-retardant composition containing an organic acid. Content of organic acid is equal to 50 wt% or more, preferably from 70 to 90 wt%. Organic acid can absorb heat, decompose at high temperature and release a flame-retardant substance. Flame retardant agent can react through free radicals with one or more free radicals, which are necessary for organisation of chemical combustion cycles.
EFFECT: invention provides a synergistic effect when used together with an organic acid pyrotechnic agent, thereby further improving capacity for extinguishing agent and flame retardant and considerably reduces effective extinguishing time.
