FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of fire-extinguishing. The method is implemented using the fire-extinguishing composition that forms the extinguishing agent as a result of chemical reaction of ingredients at a high temperature and the pyrotechnic aerosol fire-extinguishing agent. The fire-extinguishing composition comprises flame retardant - 50-90 wt %, the oxidizing agent - 5-30 wt %, the reducing agent - 5-10 wt %, and the binder - 0-10 wt %. The pyrotechnic agent used as the source of heat and energy is ignited to form aerosol. The oxidizing agent and the reducing agent in the fire-extinguishing composition enter into reaction at high temperature reached during combustion of the pyrotechnic agent, forming the fire-extinguishing agent for fire-extinguishing. Unlike the traditional aerosol-forming agent the invention does not involve the use of an external heat source, and the fire-extinguishing composition does not burn.
EFFECT: according to the invention, the fire-extinguishing composition is more effective and safer than the traditional aerosol-forming agent.
