FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-thermal spray coating, specifically to technology of preparing article surface before application of detonation coating. Method of detonation coating of aluminium oxide on surface of copper article involves exposure on treated surface to flow of heated abrasive particles generated in installation of detonation spraying, application of coating and abrasive treatment of surface is carried out simultaneously at same modes of detonation spraying using aluminium oxide powder Al2O3 with particles of different size. Abrasive treatment of surface is carried out with particles of said powder, dimensions of which provide them with solid state during heating in said installation.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality of surface due to elimination of separate steps of preparation of sprayed surface.
