MIXTURE FOR PRODUCING PHOSPHOR WITH LONG AFTERGLOW BASED ON ZINC SULPHIDE (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC C09K11/56 C09K11/54

Abstract RU 2587710 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and can be used in radar tubes, signalling devices designed for electronic, paint and printing industry when producing advertising devices, as well as in apparatus for displaying information. According to first version, mixture contains following components, wt%: zinc sulphide - 92.495, zinc chloride - 0.5, ammonium chloride - 1.5, barium chloride - 5, copper chloride - 0.005, thiourea - 0.5 and additionally zinc peroxide in amount of 0.1-2.5 % to total weight of said components. According to second version, mixture contains following components, wt%: zinc sulphide - 88.9, zinc chloride - 0.63, ammonium chloride - 2.34, barium chloride - 6.6, copper chloride - 0.014, lead acetate - 0.626, thiourea - 0.89 and additionally zinc peroxide in amount of 0.1-0.8 % to total weight of said components.

EFFECT: higher yield of phosphor based on zinc sulphide with long afterglow, increased luminescence brightness of both initial and afterglow and hydrolytic resistance; furthermore, phosphors obtained from mixture in second version are characterised by increased flash brightness.
