SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, therapy, neurology and preventive medicine. 24-hour oscillometric monitoring of BP is conducted. Then vascular rigidity daily index is calculated by formula. That is ensured by calculating ratio of change of pulse wave propagation time, given to SBP = 100 mm Hg and HR = 60 per minute, in night in comparison with same index in daytime, expressed in percentage.

EFFECT: method allows studying circadian changes of vascular rigidity, wherein increasing deviation of daily index vascular rigidity from zero value of more than 50 % shows more severe damage of cardiovascular system.
