FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of protecting from biofouling and can be used in shipbuilding for protecting underwater part of ship hull, ship devices and mechanisms in contact with water, for protection of marine drilling rigs, port structures. Disclosed is a method of protecting using polymer coating, containing 45-47 wt% of epoxy rubber adduct based on low-molecular polysulphide and butadiene nitrile rubber and excess low-molecular epoxy resin, 24-28.5 wt% of metallic zinc, 4.5-5.0 wt% of amine type hardener, 16.0-17.0 wt% of pigments and 6.0-7.0 wt% of oligoesteroxide, where metal zinc is sprayed after mixing of all other components and their application on protected surface.
EFFECT: method enables to achieve high degree of protection against biofouling and providing high resistance to biofouling.
