FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering and concerns diagnosis of mechanical properties of aircraft structure made from polymer composite materials, particularly concerns protection from lightning. Panel comprises skin, consisting of ground coating and coal cloth layers, alternating with layers of polymer binder, longitudinal stringers with trapezoidal cross-section. Stringers are formed on inner side of skin by foam inserts. Lightning protective coating is located in top layer and consists of equal in strength coal cloth of satin or twill weave with metal inclusions based on copper, silver fibres woven in structure of cloth impregnated with polymer binder containing carbon nanoparticles. Note here that panel structure is integrated with fibre-optic sensor elements based on Bragg gratings.
EFFECT: higher resistance of the panel to dynamic and thermal loads after action of lightning current in the area of shifting discharges, continuous monitoring of technical state and timely detection and making a decision on possibility of safe operation of panel due to mechanical and thermal action of lightning discharge.
