FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry, specifically to devices for measuring flow rate of oil wells with preliminary separation of gas-liquid mixture into gas and liquid with help of separators. Disclosed is a three-position control of liquid level in separator vessel, comprising installed in vessel two sensors of top and bottom permissible level of liquid, installed in outlet liquid pipeline gate and flow meter, control device for opening and closing gate, controller comprises separate level sensor installed in vessel bottom, damper is made in form of adjustable electric drive, sensors and electric drive of gate are connected with control direction and rate of change of gate position comprising computing device for determining flow rate of fluid supplied to separator, to which is connected to a separate level sensor and meter for output liquid flow rate. Said unit employs a method, which comprises maintaining in a certain range liquid level in storage vessel of separator due to control of fluid flow in outlet pipeline by means of valve closing when lower level of liquid is reached and opening when upper liquid level is reached, wherein control of liquid flow rate at outlet is performed with definite rate, value of which depends on liquid flow rate supplied to separator, determined by rate of change of level in vessel and current flow of liquid at outlet of separator.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of overall dimensions, higher static and dynamic accuracy liquid level control in separator vessel, as well as higher reliability.
