SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for generating assignments between image regions of an image of an object and element classes. Invention consists in that apparatus comprises an assigning unit for assigning element classes to image regions of an element image of object, which is indicative of a distribution of element classes, depending on region and/or boundary features, which are determined depending on image values of a provided object image and provided first preliminary assignments. Thus, resulting element image with assignments to element classes is not necessarily based on provided object image only, but can also be based on provided preliminary assignments. If quality of assignments defined by element image would be restricted due to restrictions of provided object image, these restrictions of provided image can therefore be compensated by preliminary assignments.

EFFECT: technical result is high image quality.
