FIELD: sorting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses an apparatus and method for sorting particles according to quality categories. Apparatus comprises a meter (400) for measuring at least one parameter of analytical said particles. Conveyor (300) transports particles near meter. Sorter (500) is operably connected with meter and sorts particles into at least two quality categories based on the measurement results of analytical parameter. To ensure fast and reliable transfer conveyor comprises working surface (310), configured to move in direction of transportation. Working surface has multiple holes. Conveyor also includes pump (130) to create a pressure drop in said holes to provide suction to holes of particles fed onto conveyor, and transporting them on working surface near meter towards sorter. In preferred embodiments, working surface is formed as an endless conveyor belt or a conveying drum.

EFFECT: apparatus enables to sort individual particles into quality categories with same analytical properties.
