FIELD: environmental protection; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of characteristics of the behaviour of various chemicals technogenic origin in upper part of the soil cover without contamination of the territory. Placed 1-2 kg of samples of soil in plastic column 1 diameter of 10-20 cm and height of 15-20 cm arranged vertically on the bench with open top part and filtering device 2 in the lower part. Soil contamination is contaminant in amount of 1-100 MPC. Then, on the soil surface through the batcher supplied distilled water 5 at the rate of 50-100 ml/h. In lower part of the column is collected filtrate in measuring flask 7 volume 25, 50, 100 ml. Concentration of contaminant are determined. Derived data, the degree and constant release of contaminant from soil depending on volume of water fed to time semi-excretion of chemical substance from contaminated soil under action of atmospheric precipitation.

EFFECT: determination of specific features of the behaviour of the hazardous chemical contaminants in surface layer of soil with account of the composition of regional soil without contamination of the territory.
