FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to methods of producing aluminium cast iron with ground structure from source, which is used at mass production of casts. Method involves combined melting of original cast iron, calcium-containing material and aluminium alloy, aluminium alloy used is quickly cooled ferro aluminium of FA-30 grade, which is added in quantity providing content in finished cast iron, wt%: aluminium 20-25 and carbon 1.5-2.0 and calcium-containing material is added in amount sufficient for obtaining cover slag layer of 3-5 mm, prior to teeming produced melt is held at 1,570-1,580 °C for 5-10 minutes.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain aluminium cast iron alloy with improved strength properties due to grinding of structural components.
