FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a security element for counterfeit-proof papers, valuable documents or other data media with substrate, which on the surface section has optically variable surface pattern, which with a different direction of illumination and/or viewing creates various images. Optically variable surface pattern is formed by multiple facets, substantially operating according to laws of beam optics, where dimensions of said facets are, at least in one direction of plane of surface section, less than 30 mcm and arranged aperiodically in plane of surface section.
EFFECT: disclosed is a security element for valuable documents.
